Our story begins back in 1956, when the first tourists came to camp on the land by the sea, where potatoes and corn were planted at that time. Everything started quite suddenly. The first guests were attracted by the accommodation on the seashore itself.
These were the years when the commercial tourism began to develop in the Municipality of Medulin, so the decision to open camp Peškera was very spontaneous. At that time, the arrival of guests was difficult due to lack of traffic connections and bad roads. The first bus line between Banjole and Pula was introduced only in 1957/58. The grandmother Nona Veronika, who was the manager of the camp Peškera at the time, was able to cope with this situation so she personally transported the luggage of the guests from Pula to Banjole on a carriage called "kareta", which was pulled by donkeys. Today you can see the kareta on the terrace of Bistro Veronika.
Over the years, a lot of effort has been put into cleaning and renovatig the camp. The bathrooms has been completely renovated and modernized this year.
Investing in new camp facilities is always a priority for us. And so ower the years we opened Bistro Veronika, set up modern mobile homes, built a swimming pool with a bar and a wellness area.
